Maverick Hotel and Casino

I can’t thank Megan enough for saving me during my stay at the Maverick Hotel & Casino in Elko, NV. It was around 3–4 AM when I realized I needed a room, but it was that tricky time of night when check-in isn’t usually possible. Somehow, Megan was able to work her magic and get both myself and my dad into the system so that when we arrived at 9 AM, we were able to check in right away. Because of her help, I was able to get some much needed rest before my 3-hour online proctored exam later that day. Honestly, she saved not only my trip but also my grade. Her professionalism, resourcefulness, and kindness went above and beyond. Thank you, Megan, you are a lifesaver, sorry it took me so long!

Biggest casino in elko all the staff there are always so friendly when I go in they have a great rewards program highly recommend Joyce is the best

The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly! My husband and I are long haul truckers and they accomodated our big rig! The rooms were clean and beds comfy! Our 2 little dogs stayed with us for a very reasonable fee! Casino was big and we won! We love this place, highly recommend!

The casino is clean and relatively quiet....mostly locals. The room was clean, but showing signs of age and abuse.

Now this ..THIS is what I'm used to at Red Lion (now, Maverick but it'll ALWAYS be Red Lion to me!) I even have a players card that is SO old, the kind folks at the Players Club cage had never even seen the old infamous "Green Card"! Had to update it to the modern version. I've been a long time frequenter of this place throughout the years.. My son lives here, but I come thru often because I live in Sparks, and this was always my go to up until about 3 years ago, that I had such a tragic experience, I abandoned my room for the 2nd night and stayed at Shutters. NOT anymore! You can read my reviews of "Red Lion" if it's still available, and surely you're reading this updated review for Maverick. WHAT a turn around. First off, I was offered a comp weekend because of my experience a few years back. That particular GM wasn't there, but I called to see if they were still honor a comp room for a night, and despite there being a couple years in between my last visit, they still honored that promise. That spoke volumes. My room, was perfect, exactly what I'm used to with this place. Didn't eat at Aspen this time, just some gambling and cocktails. We started off in the back bar, and I can't remember the nice lady's name, but she was on point. WE gambled and drank a bit, then went and gambled a little bit more, and actually won all of our money back, so we decided to sit in the front bar and just pay for drinks so I didn't give the house back the money hahaha Char (pronounced like 'Cher', not Char-Broil hahaha) was our bartender in the front bar. She actually helped us on the floor also before we sat to drink. It was the day after christmas, and their staff was run wire thin, they were covering the floor and bartending, busting their butts. I've never had an issue with service here, ever. Thank you guys again, for honoring your promise from years past. I'm completely satisfied once again, and now I know the calibers back on point, this once again, will be my go-to, and with my new fancy updated players club card! This is NOT a Holiday Inn or like brand so don’t compare it to that type of hotel! Excellent value!! Clean Comfortable beds Quiet Huge room 2 sinks in our double room Large television screen Nice patio Large bath towel On the negative side the hotel needs a complete makeover. Carpet is very old. Toilet seat was so scratched it looked like poop on it. Blankets had holes in them. For the price this is a great place.

The casino is very nice,the hotel is pet friendly, everything is clean,the staff are very friendly. Strongly recommend.

My husband and I stopped in Elko on our way back home to Idaho. We were met @ reception by an extremely kind lady, Charmaine whom exceeded the standard for customer service! We liked the atmosphere of the casino and got a player’s card and met another helpful customer service representative named Morgan who walked us through nicely. The most incredible part of our stay was the comfort of our pet friendly room. The carpets were super clean as was the entire room. The level of comfort of the bedding and pillows was 10/10. I suffer from severe back issues and I slept @ this place better than I’ve slept in months! We will be back! Thank you so much!
